A 1-Minute Daily Habit That Will Change Your Life (And Travels!)
I want to share a new habit I actually managed to stick to last year, that has made a real difference in my life! I HIGHLY recommend it, ESPECIALLY if you are traveling. It’s not much effort, and only takes like 1 minute a day. I actually saw a variation of this somewhere on FB and I can’t believe I actually committed to it! 😛
SO THIS IS IT: Every day, write down the highlight of the day (like, a sentence). Write down something cool that happened, something you accomplished, something that made that day special, or something you are grateful for that day. No matter how small! Something new you tried. Something new you learned. ANYTHING.
I write these down in my notes app on my phone (you can do this on your computer, paper, whatever you want!)
At the end of each month or even year, read all the notes! Because they are all short, it won’t take very long to read them all. You’ll be AMAZED! It will make you so happy! 😀
You’ll be amazed at how much you’ve progressed and how you’ve changed. How much has happened. Even in periods of your life where you feel like you’re stagnant. If you do this while traveling, it’ll be your travel highlight reel!
Many of us tend to focus more on what we missed out on, or haven’t gotten done. It’s hard, but you have to try to balance satisfaction with ambition. It’s good to push yourself to do and be more, but don’t get so caught up in what you HAVEN’T gotten done that you let the little, special every day things slip away. I think focusing on your strengths and accomplishments is actually what motivates you to try harder! 🙂
Do you already have a habit similar to this, and what is it?
What a great idea especially in today’s times . I will now start writing at least a sentence a day . Good luck with your travels. Admire what you are doing

Hi Safia! Great to see you are still out there motorcycle camping and sharing your blogs with us! My wife and I have a kinda similar habit. Although we don’t write it down, at the end of the day we talk about what we accomplished and what our goals are for the next day. We try not to get hung up on achieving our goals, but to focus on what we did and feel good about for the day…although nothing feels better than getting your list done and still having time for a nap! LOL!! It would be easy to write down the highlight of this discussion every night and look back over time…We’ll have to give it a try!
Cheers!
